What is First-Fix Carpentry?

As the name suggests, first-fix carpentry is the first of two carpentry phases when constructing an extension or new build. It involves all the carpentry work required after the foundation installation but stops when the room or building is ready for plastering. As such, it usually starts from the frame (or shell) of the building to the point of decorating.
